Tietoja minustaHello I am Jackie, 27 year old married mother of two with a deep love for books. I cherished every minute that I can steal away for my books. After looking for a way to share all the news, recommendations, and love I have for the books I read I found Shelfari and Librarything which I check regularly. I also have a blog at book-whisperer.blogspot.com if you are interested. I would love to begin reading books from publishers and authors for review. If you are interested in my review for your book; you can contact me at jomullane@bluemarble.net. I read anything fiction, and look forward to meeting all kinds of new people.

Tietoja kirjastostaniMy passion that started my reading journey would be fantasy, paranormal romance, or urban fantasy. Although, I enjoy many genres of fiction, and I find that I go through phases where I am all about a particular genre for a various lengths of time.

So far the best book I have read this year is The Girl She Used To Be. I recommend this book for everyone.

Hmm those books sound interesting. What are they about?
So have you read any good books resently?
hey sorry I haven't replied in a while but I'm back now and I'm glad you liked the book.
I think you're right, quite a lot in common. Thanks for the friendship.

-Tara
Well I'm glad you liked it. But yeah I really lilked because it is alot different than all the books we have now.So are you going to read the rest of the series?
Have you heard about "Forever My Lady", its about love and relationships...

I think it will satisfies you...
Hi, What types of books you like?
ooohhh sounds interesting.I just looked up Luxe by Anna God bersen it looks interesting too.I'm going to ask for it for my birthday which is in a month yaay.
Oh cool so whats that about.
Oh and I almost forgot how did you like Crank by Ellen Hopkins?
Hey I'm back from church camp and ready to read some new (good) books, any suggestions/ I kinda want to read that Luxe series u know the ones with the girls in their poofie dresses on the front.Have you read those?
Welcome, How is the book "Another Faust", is it good to read
Your profile pic. is awesome....
I read your review.hmmm I think I still want to read it just to see if I will like it because ot seems like my kind of book. Thanks for telling me about it.
tell me if Kiss me Kill Me is any good so I will see if i want to read it.
Thats Awesome I hope you do love it.
And yeah I have heard of kiss me kill me its in my LT in my want to read section.
Yeah I can't wait to get the second one called Glass.
SO what books are you reading or want to read right now.
Cool I will go look it up and maybe check it out in the library in a week or two but right now I'm reading the Crank series by Ellen Hopkins you should get them. Her books are really really good.It is hard to understand at some points since all the books are written in poems but once you start to understand its awesome. The Crank series is about a 17 year old girl named Kristina who goes to visither druggie dad in Mexico and while she's there she falls in love with this guy named adam and unfortunatly she also falls in love with Crank or in other words meth.So she returns home a new person or as Kristina likes to call it Bree.So this Ellen Hopkins series is about a girl who has twistes and turns with drugs and gets herself into a lot of sticky situations.
WhAT is prey about and who is it by? so i can check it out.
Sorry i have been in montana for two weeks on a mission trip but im back now.
Stayed up late on Friday night to finish Prey, it was fab, so good, I really shouldn't race through books, I don't think the next, Shift is out until March 2010 which is a fairly long time to wait patiently. I agree with being slightly miffed at Faythe, but given the circumstances I can kind of understand, but I think it'll be interesting to read the repercussions in Shift.
Thanks for the rec for the werecat series. I haven't tried it but I'll definitely look into it.
E-mail dispatch of Prey arriving this morning at work! Can't wait, know what I will be doing this lunch time!
I am expecting Prey any day now! It's a pain when UK book's take an age to get out over here, they have been waiting on stock for two weeks so far! Someone should make an app for that, there may be one out there. We won an Ipod Touch and it was delivered last night and it's lush! Maybe the LT team will one day release a calendar/reminder option on upcoming books.
I abuse my calendar, that's how. I belong to many authors yahoo groups or forums and add them to my calendar when they are due to be released. I also use amazon recommendations and they list all new or upcoming books I may be interested in. I am also anticipating alot of books at the moment.
I have a few places that I check out frequently for new book releases. One is http://www.romantictimes.com/ it a great website that lets you search for books in any genre and back a few years as well. I also like to check out the listmania's on Amazon because most of the work has already been don't for me. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/ is also another really great website for serching out your favorite authors and seeing what upcoming books are in the works, but mostly I get my info from a couple of good friends on my other book community website http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/Community-..., which is alot like this one! hope some of these are helpful for you! Let me know how it turns out!
I'm doing really well. My second review for my book just came up on Amazon. 4 Stars. How are you doing? What are you reading now?
Thanks for the heads up! I'll go see it when it comes out!
Oh wow! Thanks for telling me about The She Used To Be movie! I can't wait to check it out.
SO do u have a favorite book? mine right now is Pretties by Scott Westerfield and Need by Carrie Jones although i kind of thought Need was a tipical werewolf faerie story but it was still good.
hey we have alot of books in common i hope u add me as a friend.I hope i don't sound like a pusher but oh well.I don't have very many friends so anyone who wahts to send me an invite can:]blah blah blah.
Hi thanks for excepting my friend invite. I love chatting with people that share similar taste in books. We seem to like alot of the same books too. So what is your current favoite book that you have read recently?
Hi.

Thank you soo much for the invitation. I love vampire books's

Cris
I'd give it a little more time before you worry about the books.

Abby
hehheee, i am to confuse....

fit a fire, it's way more boring than it sounds. I used to sell and fit wood stoves for a career, I had bought a wood stove to fit in my lounge about 4 years ago, but it's been on the bottom of the DIY to do list for so long. I still didn't get around to fitting, it looks like it might have to wait until I get some free time in June. It's a little Hunter Hawk wood stove, cute and kicks out a lot of heat.
Wasn't Wake good?! I couldn't find Fade at my local bookstore so I'll have to order online :) I can't wait!
glad it got to you safely, I hope you enjoy it! Cleaning is the work of the devil :) I'm finishing off the decorating, we've been waiting on people and things and it's finally coming together. We wanted to fit a fire in September last year and it looks as though this is the weekend it might actually be fitted! I am reading 'Acheron' at the moment, it's been a while since I read any Sherrilyn Kenyon and this one is a mammoth book. So much to choose from next, might finish Annette Blair's series with 'The Scot, the Witch and the Wardrobe' and then I can ebay them to buy some more books.
Hey Jackie,

How have you been? How's your Paranormal 999 Challenge going? I see you read White Witch, Black Curse already. Did you get an ARC? You only gave it two stars, did it suck? I have been reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It's a bit slow going. Kind of creepy. What's up next for you?

~Leah
Okay when you explain, it makes sense. How it looks on the page makes you think something else, lol.

Right now I'm reading The Reincarnationist by M.J. Rose. So far I'm hooked! I started a bookclub with a couple of the girls from work and the first book we are reading is The Memorist by M.J. Rose so I thought I would read this one first and see how it goes.

How about you?

Thanks again for you help! :)
Wow, we have a lot of books in common. Would you like to be friends on here?

Monica...
Oh, I can't wait to read At Grave's End! I should be getting it soon. I have a couple of Adrian Phoenix's books in my TBR pile. So many books to read...

~Leah
I did! How about you? Got a few ARCs from Ebay...good old ebay. : )
I got 2 books, beedle the bard [harry potter] and the marmite cookbook. I had a big wishlist on amazon but no one decided to buy me any, I got money off some relatives and looking on what to spend my money on.
Hey!! I didn't get any new books ...but I did get a 15 book credits for Pbs from my father...and believe me I cant wait to start ordering!! Did you get any new ones?
Hi Jackie - thanks for adding me to your interesting libraries list. I didn't get any books, but I got the next best thing. A B&N gift card. How was your Christmas?

Have you read any of Mario Acevedo books yet? What do you think? I had hoped to snag his from the Dec. ER but no such luck. I did get the Dana Stabenow book though, so I am not complaining. I have yet to check out your library but from your list of fav authors it looks like we have several in common.

~Leah
no probs! If you can pass it on once you have read it, it's not a keeper for me.

I haven't had a chance to read yet, have had the flu all over the christmas break and just returned to work today, not back to full health yet all I want to do is sleep not read.

Been making my 999 list, have so much on my tbr pile don't think I need to buy many to complete the task [apart from some time to read them all!]
I know exactly what you mean about your husband...Mine thinks I am nuts because I am going to pay the 25 dollars just to see my books on the net and to find other people who like the same kind that I do!lol
I'm sorry; I have mailed off the extra copies of [The Glister].
I know!! I am sorry I must have clicked the wrong button! I was trying to friend you...that is if you dont mind :-)
Hi Jackie. Lovely to meet you! Great library!
I preordered it off amazon, still on my wishlist until it comes out, is that the end of the month.

I keep a track of the dates in my outlook calendar at work, I get newsletter e-mails from the authors I love as well which keep me up to date with what is new and next. Amazon recommendations is good too!

I have a huge wishlist on here, massive. At the moment I am reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and then moving onto Living with the Dead by Kelley Armstrong, also have Hounding the Moon by PR Frost to read too. I have exceeded my 50 book challenge, but sucking at nanowrimo been too ill most of the time (stupidity on my part) too actually type so have 13108 words to date, no where near 50000 which is needed, my first year of not going for it :( hey there is always next year!

Hows things with you?
Hi Jackie...looks like we have lots of books in common!
Storm Born sounds like a must read. who is it by, so I can add it to my list?
Minion and wicked lovely are both on my must read list as well. Am going to try to Mooch them when I can..*L*
I am putting the Holly Black books on the top of my list too=Tithe,Valiant & Ironside..I am such a book-a-holic.. Just love to read everything!
Thanks so much for the add. I love tattoos too and shamrocks, how neat! Any good recommends for books to read please let me know.
Hi

Thanks for stopping by my page and leaving a comment it's lovely to 'meet' with people who like the same genres as me. I had fun noseying around your library too and I ache with envy that you have the third book of Jeanine Frosts! :)

I noticed you liked werewolves and have a lot of the really good ones already so I'd recommend Christopher Golden's Prowlers series which I thought was quite cool and his other books are certainly worth checking out. For YA I'd recommend Lisa Jane Smith particularly the Secret Circle trilogy about witches and her trilogy Forbidden Game (norse mythology and djinn) they are teeny romances but they are very readable. I'm sure there's more I meant to recommend but my mind's gone blank... I might pop by later if I can remember them!

Thanks for letting me know about Wake. :) I still haven't managed to get to Nightwalker yet. I'm so far behind on reviewing books that authors have sent to me. I have to get through those before I can read my "buys", sigh... LOL Hard life huh? :D
I have "Wicked Lovely", a YA novel by Melissa Marr! I'll have to try her other book - I love stories about fae!

Thanks for the reccomendations!

I tried to read LA Banks' "Minion"... Have you read it? I'm not sure if I like it. It doesn't flow well for me, and I don't feel like I know the characters. Maybe the other books in the series get better? I saw you have another book of hers...what did you think?

I can't wait to buy more weather warden books! :)
Hey there!

Sookie Stackhouse series is written by Charlaine Harris - they are a "southern vampire" series, although they don't really seem like it to me. Not as gory as some, not as sensual as some, but fun plot! Another plus is that there are a ton of books and they kept me happy for almost a month...until I finished all of them!

:]

Have fun!

Any other series you enjoy? i liked the comment from the gal below - i'm looking nito those recommendations! I just started the weather warden series and LOVED the first book. i can't wait to buy all of them!
I've actually only read the 7th book in the series, Gale Force, because the author sent it to me for review. I'm working on getting the first 6, so I can just read away, lol. I have 3 of them so far. I did enjoy Gale Force though. :)

I also picked up Night Walker by Jocelynn Drake, but I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it as I don't know when I'll be able to read it. Too many reviews to get done on books that have been sent to me, lol, it's a problem I can live with. :)
I love all of those types of books. :] Have you tried the Sookie Stackhouse books? Or any Laurell K. Hamilton?
Nice to meet you too! :) I'm always happy to "meet" other people who love to read as much as I do, especially when it's someone who loves the same genres as me. I hope you find some new author's/books in my "library". Please feel free to write anytime if you have any questions about any of my books.

Wishing you a great day. :)
Hi there! I enjoyed "Cry Wolf". Not as much as I like her Mercy Thompson books but it was still a pretty good read. If you've enjoyed Patricia Briggs' other books, you should enjoy this one too! It picks up almost immediately after the short story ends. Let me know what you think if you pick it up. :)
Nice to meet you too! I loved the Night Huntress books, Jeanine Frost is an author I am going to keep an eye on. You should like the Anna Strong Chronicles too, Jeanne C. Stein start with The Becoming.
