Any author who wants to see their book up there in Amazon’s shop front needs to get this guide and implement the simple steps outlined to achieve marketing/sales success. Don’t think the length of the book means you won’t get the information you need. I spent time reading it to make sure I understood the strategies outlined, and then I went onto my own book page on Amazon and implemented them. What a shock to see how much your publisher does NOT do for you!

Aggie Villanueva demystifies the giant in the sky called Amazon. Far from being just a bookstore, Amazon has built-in marketing strategies that arise naturally from their own unique construction. (Blessed be the author who manages to work out this for himself.) Villanueva introduces the nuts and bolts of Amazon, and suggests that simply by tapping into the seemingly insignificant areas such as categories, tags, reviews and discussion groups, an incredible marketing machine starts working for the book. Why spend money on a marketing plan when merely making sure your book is properly categorized will reap rich rewards. Correct category listings can catapult a book into bestseller lists. Nearly every Top-100 list is drawn from categories. Get that right (and you can do it yourself) and your book will fly. You can then get into other Top-100 lists.

Many authors prefer to use other or their own sites as selling points because they earn more on each book sale. However, it’s hard to ignore the benefits of the world’s largest store and publicity machine. Amazon’s automated system is simple but multilayered. Books correctly listed will then benefit from free and automatic publicity that reaches millions of readers every day. An author can also monitor and track a book’s performance in these different categories.

This book is also a treasure trove when it comes to hidden extras. The pages are sprinkled with links to other marketing videos or supplementary material, all designed to help you get your book from Amazon to a slew of readers. The writing is clear, and understandable to even the most technologically challenged writer (like me!) Screen grabs also point you in the right direction. This is an essential guide if you're serious about getting your book 'out there.' Highly recommended.

The Rewritten Word: How to Sculpt Literacy Art no Matter the Genre – Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat

‘There is more to writing than putting many words to paper and more to rewriting than rearranging those words. Dreaming about writing won’t get you anywhere, and writing a thousand words a day won’t help unless you know what to do with those words.’

I don’t write novels but do occasionally write short articles pertaining to a dish I’ve just created or some other food related topic. So when Aggie Villanueva requested that I review her book The Rewritten Word, I had my doubts about the information pertaining to a cookbook writer like myself. I was wrong.

The Rewritten Word is broken into five lessons with the first four pertaining to all writings. Her 1st lesson ‘Organization’ talks about “cutting to the chase” by eliminating rambling and teaches the writer to put their words in order of importance. In lesson 2 you will learn how to cut unnecessary words to create a better flow. I’m sure we are all guilty of over wording not just our writings but even our conversations. Lesson 3 talks about passive phrases giving examples in “past tense vs. present.” I’ve often noticed, through my reading as well as listening to speakers, the use of the word “I”. This overuse tends to make me feel that the person speaking or writing thinks entirely too much of themselves. Lesson 4 stresses the use of the right words. Aggie shares the importance of using a thesaurus when choosing words. I find this to be of value to me when choosing a name for a new recipe. It needs to be simple and understandable but catchy at the same time. And Lesson 5 brings all lessons together in the writing of fiction and setting moods.

Rewritten Word is only 35 pages (electronic version, 60 pages in Amazon Paperback, 75 pages at Lulu) long but those 35 pages are packed full of useful information that all writers, I feel sure, will find useful.

The Rewritten Word is a brilliant little book! Villanueva tackles the "how-to" subject of writing with concise examples, lessons and exercises designed to help both the novice and established author. The information can be applied to fiction and nonfiction, as well as full length books, articles and essays.

This is not a dry read or boring guide. Villanueva entertains while she goes about demonstrating her points. A must for anyone looking to make his or her writing more dynamic.

People sometimes think Judaism and Christianity are anti-women rights. Aggie Villanueva has written a compelling novel that shows this is not the case.I enjoyed this story based on a few Old Testament verses in which sisters who had no male relatives were allowed to inherit the land due their father. We know that the Israelites had a male-oriented society, but this event shows that God cares about His female children as well as His male children and has from the beginning. From the short account in Numbers describing the daughters of Zelophehad standing up for their rights, Aggie has created well-defined, believable characters and an entertaining story that makes the reader feel they are experiencing early Biblical times.Readers who like Biblical fiction, those who are interested in women’s rights, and lovers of romance will all enjoy Rightfully Mine.I enjoyed doing an interview with the author Aggie Villanueva on my blog.… (lisätietoja)
