This is a handbook for building green in poor countries, so there is a lot about using branches, bamboo or clay that most people in the USA would not find practical or appealing. It is still precious for all people who have a fishing or hunting cabin in the woods and want some DIY improvements.
But the book is a joy to read, and if you are not a consumed architect, you will have a few HA HA moments ("How come I did not think about that?")
I specially like the design part, the first half of the book, before the detailed plans for pumps, water, etc. It makes you think clearly in terms of air circulation and the kind of climate you live in. So, if you are dreaming of conceiving your own house, don't start with cheap plans on the Internet, start with this book: it will give you much a better control on what kind of house you want.… (lisätietoja)
