The book is divided into three parts: a 14-page biography summarizing the highlights of Hatshepsut's life, including her Punt Expedition; a collection of sections ranging from 2 to 6 pages long covering various aspects of everyday life in Egypt; and a section of primary sources, which includes two popular Ancient Egyptian stories: "The Tale of a Shipwrecked Sailor" and "The Tale of the Doomed Prince". This book is very informative. It first third of the book is a biography about Augustus Caesar and his life. The second third of this book gives details about Roman life from entertainment to food to clothing, etc.. It gives information about slaves, poor people, and rich people. The information is very interesting and well-written. The last third is filled with primary sources from Roman times. There are pictures to accompany the text; although there could be more pictures and the layout of the text could be a little more student friendly. Overall, this could be an excellent resource for middle school and lower level high school students.… (lisätietoja)
