As an overall feng shui primer, I recommend The Western Guide to Feng Shui Room by Room by Terah Kathryn Collins. I studied with Terah at the Western School of Feng Shui and received my first feng shui certification in May of 2001. Terah's book is easy to read and covers the basic feng shui concepts: yin/yang, the five elements and the bagua. It also discusses basic feng shui cures and when to apply them.
